same issue here on a server that has the fabric port possibly an issue with starlight limiting what create can keep running when a chunk isn't loaded?
i'm having a similar issue, it wasn't starlight as the issue persists after removing it.
This is still a problem in 1.19.2 with Create 0.5.1b
seems to happen when the power source is in a loaded chunk, and the bearing in an unloaded chunk? happened to me again when I changed power for my tree farm from a water wheel in the same chunk to an engine 1/2 chunks away
Encountering this issue on my server aswell, 1.19.2 fabric, mod version 0.5.1b
still an issue on my server, 1.20.1 forge, create version 0.5.1f
Have the same issue here, using wool to power the windmill bearing, but another issue I found is that it deletes some items glued to the contraption, for me it’s a wooden button that’s keeps on disappearing, my bearing has multiple farms on it, and I control them using stickers with buttons.
Same problem here, I'm running on a Fabric Server with Create
Here are the results of /create debuginfo
:
Same problem here, running Prominence II RPG (Fabric)
I have the chunks forceloaded by Open Parties and Claims, though I've never used this particular claiming system before, I don't know how reliable it is. My network is usually shut off when I return to load the chunks myself, due to this stopping my farms from running Once I fix my network, all of my bearings work again, except for one?
Describe the Bug
Wether it's a mechanical or windmill bearing, facing upwards it seems to "stall" (words by Grimmauld in the discord) when I move away for a long time, possibly out of render / simulation distance, tried uninstalling optifine but no luck, contraptions still stalled, only started happening after I installed .5 however... The contraptions still give stress readings with the goggles and things can still be attached to the bottom, which will still spin and act normally, but I'll always have to right click the bearing twice to get it to start again The contraption will stay in the contraption state until the bearing is right clicked again, then it'll place all the blocks and you'll have to reclick it to turn it back into a contraption Another detail I should mention (2 weeks after i originally posted this) is that it dosent matter what's attached to the bearing or where it's being powered from, i have a tree farm that spins from a clutch and a windmill across the river and there are still cases when I fly back and they're stopped. And another interesting detail is if the stalled bearings and their contraptions are out of render distance, they'll still render, but it's not an optifine issue, i've tested many times with and without it
Reproduction Steps
Expected Result
After leaving the bearing running for a while and going away from it, it'll stop at some point, completely at random. Windmill bearing, mechanical bearing, whatever, anything that spins it seems.

Additional Context
I have about 5 farms here, all of which at some point stopped, sometimes only one stops, sometimes two, sometimes this one, sometimes that one, every time i come home from somewhere its a gamble to see which farm I'll have to replant lol
The reason I keep mentioning "vertical" bearings is because I dont have the issue with horizontal ones, this windmill has stayed powered my whole playthrough, as well as my decorative water wheel near my house, which uses a normal water wheel and a sideways mechanical bearing
Id like to add also, that this happens on the fabric version as well, as after I updated to .5 on my boyfriend and I's server, the bearings started stalling there too, really hope i get a response or even a potential solution soon :)
