1 year ago I had a similar error. Although only while they were attached via mechanical belts or encased chain drives. For me, one of the sequenced gearshifts works the first time it is activated but not the second time.

The only two mods I have are Create (0.5.0.g) and Flywheel (0.6.8)
Describe the Bug
Redstone Links, and Sequenced Gearshifts are not detecting redstone pulses or constant redstone.
Reproduction Steps
Expected Result
No redstone detected (does not light up) for either device, and the rotation does not change.

Additional Context
Not the only Create-redstone bug I've seen in both singleplayer and multiplayer in my modpack, as normal gearshifts which do detect redstone, don't update the rotational energy on the other side. I'll be submitting this on another issue.
It is possible this is related to the modpack or optimization, as vanilla buttons are acting strange as well. I'll look into that.
