Describe the bug

When I start a game, I only get a message saying "Disconnected, too many unknown connections from your IP" and repeating.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Start a save
  2. Wait about 2 seconds
  3. Chat outputs the disconnected message

Expected behaviour

Should connect to server and let me chat.

You appear to be using an extremely old version of MineTogether, you may need to update your version manually in order to connect.

SomaTGW commented 1 year ago

I did actually notice that when I did the report, so I did update it. I'm currently running 2.4.2 and now my Global chat is just empty and silent.

Try closing some applications which require your internet connection (on all devices)

SomaTGW commented 1 year ago

Just tried this, chat still empty, even things I write don't come up and doesn't show in non MineTogether chat either

BraveCaperCat2 commented 12 months ago

Did you understand me? To be clear: Try to close as many of the connections on devices connected to the same internet connection as you.

if this is what you did, or this does not work, this is likely a bug with minetogether, or something to do with it's connections outside of minecraft.

SomaTGW commented 12 months ago

The only other device connected to my wifi was my phone, I could try disconnect that and see if it helps.

BraveCaperCat2 commented 12 months ago

Ok, but if that's the only other device on the network it shouldn't be a problem. If you are using windows on your computer you can sort through programs by how much network they're taking up - try closing some programs that are using up a lot of internet if you can.

SomaTGW commented 12 months ago

I already tried doing that and it didn't help

BraveCaperCat2 commented 11 months ago

must be a bug with minetogether's servers, the ones that allow you to connect to each others games and everything then.

SomaTGW commented 11 months ago

I just tried a different network (connecting with USB tethering from phone) and it didn't solve any issues either so it's not my specific internet either
