Suggested improvement to clarify direction of words

I find myself confused as to the direction which word is suppose to go. I propose moving the numbers outside of the crossword itself.

Ah I fucked it, the 6 should be 1 lower. You could also add a 1 to the left where it is though

I havent even seen the current UI to be honest.

I have a plan for box highlighting depending on the direction of input you are supposed to have. I can work on a mock up for it later

Basically the plan is to do checking for highlighting based on the point and dimensional information.

there is a concern for it to be pretty slow though because it will be a lot of css in JS stuff
