Time zones #2

I've only made one quick look-through, so I might have missed it, but I can't see anywhere where the time zones are being handled.

The javascript Date class is famously bad at handling time zones - which is probably why it the app behaves strangely. i'd suggest handling the time zones outside the Date objects.

Some ideas on handling timezones:
