The Dodo is one of the best known animal to have gone extinct few centuries ago. It was a flightless bird with characteristic beak and stature.

Dodo Emoji proposal by Andrew West, now published by UTC/ESC as L2/17-441
L2/17-161 = N4794 has recommendations by the Irish and British NSBs to encode additional extinct animals besides select dinosaurs #99.
