There is also Lacrosse (U+1F94D, π₯) which has been added to Unicode 11.0.
Softball is also being added, but Iβm not sure there would be any visible difference from Baseball Player emojis, except that one could be used for the Pitcher and the other for the Batter.
Some activities, especially team sports, are represented as emojis by the objects required to play or by some gear necessary to be worn, others are represented by a person, rarely two if necessary, actually engaging in the sport. The objects mostly include the "ball" to be moved and, if applicable, the tool used to propel it or the target to hit. Although some character name two objects, some vendors choose to display only one of them because it is deemed sufficient or even better suited to signify the sport. Some desirable objects would probably require new codepoints, but at least the various ball player emojis could use ZWJ sequences involving U+26F9 βΉ.
