Just not running if using Alt+F2. But running if use terminal

Same here, with default/gtk2 build of v1.4.4 on Debian. Also not running if started from menu but .desktop file looks all right...

What could be the problem?

This problem goes away if clipit is built using --with-gtk3 (I also built with --enable-appindicator). However currently GTK3 build FTBFS as per #92, but can be fixed by #90.
