JetElement Slider: Hide if Empty #1974

Hi guys. I'm still working my way through all your excellent plugins and widgets - and so there may be a better way of doing this that I haven't found yet - but the suggestion is to allow a "simple" (so to speak) "Hide if Empty" option to many of your sliders, tabs and accordion 'items' when they're being populated dynamically (and/or via a theme template).

The very simple use-case for this which I've seen on lot's of the widgets I'm populating dynam crocblock-slider-hide-if-empty ically is that any given content type, a 'hotel' (on a travel project I'm working on right now) may have just 3-4 images or many more and to insert these dynamically obviously requires a given number of items to be set-up in advance. IE If items 4 & 5 are missing then they could be marked 'hide if empty'. If not the current slider adds the default 'missing image' graphic instead.

But this also applies to dynamically populating tabs, accordions and more where an initial set-up is required.

Having said that, it may be that I'm using the wrong method. I have not looked at Repeater fields yet for instance, but have used the 'gallery' function - which is great unless you do want to add some of the additional customisation features more typical of your 'slider' widget (as attached).

Keep up the great work, either way.

Colin

Hi, I understand that this is very important for you, but right now we cannot implement it, our developers are busy with other tasks. Try to set everything up with the jet-elements-dynamic-data plugin. Let me know if that helps you. Thanks!

Thanks Floyd/guys. Don't worry about timing but thought I'd ping that over while on my mind. I'll look more closely at the jet-elements-dynamic-data plugin too as I haven't yet looked into that one in detail.

PS Have just finished off WPtuts/Relations tutorial. The parent/child aspects of that are very nicely done. Keep it up - but thanks again.

I'd just like to chip in that this would be a really great feature to add flexibility to the plugin. There's a specific project I am working on that pretty much requires it.
