Better Marker Options For Map Listing Widget - JetEngine #1977

In playing with the various marker options inside of the Map Listing widget, it's become very evident the options for styling and customization are pretty lack luster. For instance, other styling options available when adding text are NOT available when working with markers. Also, if you use conditions to set different markers for different conditions, it doesn't make a lot of sense not to be able to change the color on each type of marker to decipher them from each other. It ends up looking sort of elementary and confusing for lack of a better term. Also, it would be nice to have an option to see text AND a marker such as you would see on a typical google map alongside the pin.

I was going to use the Map Listing widget as a solution to show "places of interest" via a CPT on the site i'm building which will be filtered by taxonomies such as (shopping, dining, recreation, places of worship etc) but the fact that I have very little flexibility in choosing icons (or different colors for that matter) that represent those taxonomies with varying colors, border options, shadowing options, accompanying text etc make the Map Listing widget somewhat useless for this task which is a shame because it's functionality is very solid.

Here are some requests I'm sure others would benefit from and appreciate as well.

Thanks!

Hello, I support the above opinion of @ReisingMedia and give you an simple example for tourist services website. I would like to create a different marker for the current publication, but unfortunately I did not succeed or is not possible with macro. Please see the examples below.
