Using the (amazing) Data Stores feature, I would love the ability for users to be able to "follow" their favourite authors or taxonomies and have the information displayed in a personal feed using a query string.
The flow, could be:
1 - User is signed up to the website
2 - User can "follow" any taxonomy, author or category.
3 - All posts under the "followed" taxonomy, author or category is then displayed in a personal feed specific to the signed in user.
The information should then be linked to a user's profile so a full list of liked topics
It would also be helpful if users can see a list of "recommended" authors/taxonomies to follow, similar to that of Twitter. Elementor experts could then make a nice onboarding process for users.
Having this information (which taxonomies / authors users follow) could also open up options to have users sent specific emails based on their likings and also be better at recommending articles/products to view next.
The layout could be based on a listing template and can also use features such as ajax load more, jetfilters, etc.
