Suggestion
Change gear covers (those solid panels that can cover up axles/gears/etc) to be able to middle-click the item on a (normal, solid) block to copy texture. When placed, it uses that texture. One item recipe for this universal gear cover item.

Only a few pre-made variants (bricks, glass, etc). Each variant crafted separately.
Justification
Makes gear covers aesthetically useful for a much wider variety of builds, without adding item bloat by having a separate item type for every single block in the game.
