  1. Yes the arduino needs to be feed 5v, as it cannot run on power higher than 5v.
  2. The 2N7000 should work as there isn't much current being drawn through the circuit so 200mA SHOULD be enough, though I never bothered to test the head unit to see how much it is actually pulling. Since it is only pulling that current for a fraction of a second I doubt it would fry the 200mA mosfet.
  3. I forget the detailed values of the resistors I used, I just grabbed two from my parts bin that were between 1000ohm and 10,000 ohm. like a 2k for one and 3k for the other would be totally fine
