What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. gmount ...
2. cd ...
3. mkdir "TEST"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
For directory TEST to be created.
mkdir: cannot create directory `TEST': Invalid argument

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.0beta3-1 from AUR

Can you download the latest SVN and test that? I fixed this problem a couple of
days ago.
Cheers
