I'm using ios 249 to install wads

my first 4 digits wii serial is LU38

I recently installed 4.1 wad thinking that the 4.0 menu prevented the playing
I used waniko 1.5 wad installer

I thought after clicking start to load the Pearl Harbor Trilogy - 1941: Red
Sun Rising channel the game would start but my wii rebooted back to wii menu

using cIOS rev 17 for wii backups

Ouch... This kind of reasoning will probably end up with a brick.

Also, off topic.

Thanks for the first two replies.
Actually I'm kinda new to forum things.
I thought this would help resolve my problem but afterall this dop-mii place is
the wrong place to discuss.
So maybe if I could clarify myself:
what ios, which i will use dop-mii to install, is needed to enable the playing of Pearl Harbor Trilogy - 1941: Red Sun Rising? based on my wii specs?

Is that Wii Ware?

It should use IOS 56 or 53.
Latest version should work.

Rebooting is a indication of not having the required IOS installed.
All previous said should be enough to get it working but next time ask there
where you get it from.

If you downloaded it from the Shopping-Channel (but I think u don't as you
don't need a wad for that), the required IOS should be installed if it was not
present while downloading (I don't know but it should if Nintendo wont get
support question like yours).
