While it is nice to find someone who grew fond of this feature, this was actually one of the top two sources of inconvenience for users who came to Imaginary Teleprompter. Most users are accustomed to a more traditional file management approach, similar to word processors. Imaginary Teleprompter's file manager also made it difficult for people to move various files at a time from one system to another. The currently in progress v4.0 deals with this by saving scripts to your Documents folder.

What va2ron1 got right when designing Imaginary Teleprompter 2's file manager was that it enables users to find their scripts rather quickly. What I plan to do with QPrompt is add a list of the most recent documents you've opened, and have it accessible from right bellow the Open option. This list would be updated every time you open a document. I thought about updating it every time a document is saved, but not all users create or edits their scripts from the teleprompter software. Most would rather copy-paste text or open files coming from their word processors.

While I won't be replicating Imaginary Teleprompter's file manager on QPrompt, please let me know what you think of adding the Recently opened files option, and how it could be improved.

Thank you very much for your answers and I'm sorry I'm not used to Github, but it will come. It often happens that the rehearsals do not happen in the same order as the show. It therefore seems important to me to be able to put them in order. Another simple way is to save them by numbering them to find them in order in the document folder. The possibility of finding recent scripts should greatly facilitate users, especially if they are working in other folders.

What if there was an Open Folder option that gave you instant access to all the scripts in a folder? The scripts in the folder would be displayed on a sidebar. You could sort them by name, created or modified dates, and would be able to re-arrange them manually by dragging and dropping.

The metadata containing your folder arrangements would be stored in a hidden folder inside your opened folder, similar to Windows' Thumbs.db, macOS' .DS_Store, and KDE Plasma's .desktop files. This would mean copying the entire folder from one computer to another would preserve the folder's arrangement for QPrompt.

Yeahhh ! A great solution. In that way we could arrange and reorder the scripts in the "good" order. You are fantastic!
