I m working on a similar project using the H801. Only problem i discovered:
When i switch on the power and the ESP starts to boot, my RGBW leds light up for around 0,5sec until the setup() runs where all pins are set to LOW.
My idea was to fade in the LEDs after turning on the device, but in the current state it just looks stupid.
You discovered the same behavior on yours?
Maybe the manufacturer just messed up a pulldown resistor on my h801.
Mine flashes upon getting power, but not for 500ms, probably more like 200ms? I don't find it that big a deal, but then again I don't cut power to it, either. Why remove power at all?
Hey @CurlyWurly-1 - maybe you re able to help me!
