As I am not capable of programming in C (and the likes) I cannot fix this myself.
So any help is appreciated in getting SimpleEVSE-Wifi working as all the rest of this just works like a charm.
@CurtRod Would you be able to spend some time on this to fix?
Or to find a work-around to avoid getting the software to crash?
Or help me check out the ESP config to avoid avoid getting the software to crash?
