Double Jump has been implemented. With the current prototype, the player cannot actually fall. This issue may need to be re-opened/addressed as a follow-up once slacklines/other mechanics that can alter the players' orientation are introduced, but for now, the purpose of the user story has been fulfilled.
As an experienced gamer, I have played multiple platforming games and want a 3D platformer I play to have some advanced movement techniques I can execute so that the game will distinguish itself from similar titles. I also want my character to feel fast and nimble so that there are a larger variety of movement options I can try out and I am not punished as harshly for mistakes I may make.
This can involve mechanics present in other titles, such as a double jump, as well as unique mechanics that are specific to this game/character. One such mechanic would be having the main character always land on their feet and be able to immediately start moving after a fall (rather than having to wait for the character to get up/recover from a mistimed jump).
