There are features that depend on legacy MySQL DB (custom software we use).. The essence of the changes is not determined fully, but the first step is at least getting the updates per the changes required by mysqli_ vs mysql_

A low priority issue.

This is effectively a task to track the work to convert/port the Painter code to the new system.

Low priority at this point, but it will rise in a month or so. Keep on the backlog.
