Fix PHP issues for PHP 8 #19

I heard that CuteNews wasn't working with PHP 8 and fixed the issues that I found that stem from deprecations and such.

I tried using the fix for one of my cutenews installations, yet it still only shows as a blank page. I want to at least be able to recover my updates entries, but can't. Not even Archive.org has a copy. Any help would be appreciated.

@ljacqu Please consider opening your own fork php 8 compatible is hard to see this beautiful system die like that :(
