It would be good to have n high quality example sentences per gismu. But what constitutes a high quality example sentence? I think a good example sentence is one that
is clear,
is unique (is not the same as another sentence with just the head word replaced)
adds additional context that reinforces or makes more obvious the meaning of the head word.
Number 3 really adds quality. The following examples illustrate this:
This is an example sentence for the word "abstain":
"After considering the health effects of cigarettes, Phill decided to abstain from smoking."
Without the first part it would be much less obvious what "abstain" means.
And this one for "charm"
"But they still retain a kind of charm, which attracts camera-toting tourists round the clock"
Here, the second part shows that "charm" is something that involves attraction. Without it, the sentence would be much too generic and forgettable.
I think three high quality sentences per word would be extremely good and quite an accomplishment.
