Current:

$x_{1}$ is a person/people (noun) [not necessarily human]; $x_{1}$ displays personality/a persona.

Suggest:

$x_{1}$ is a person [not necessarily human], displaying personality $x_2$ (ka, plural).

The x2 refers to any properties satisfied by x1 that describe sentient behaviors that back up x1's personhood and optionally distinguish x1 from other similar persons.

That is, your personality consists meaningfully of (λx. x is prone to anger), and trivially also (λx. x can feel pain), but not (λx. x weighs 60 kg) or (λx. x needs food to survive).

I'm not comfortable with the idea of merging the concepts of personhood and personality. There are animals that are considered not to be persons, and yet they do display a variety of personalities. Furthermore, if the second slot is not optional (ziho'd by default) then {lo so'i prenu} would imply the people all share the same personality, I'm afraid.

Oh, sure, the slot is ziho'd by default. The x₂ plays only a supporting role. And yeah, I'm not proposing to redefine {prenu} as just having personality traits, because like you say, some of them can be ascribed to non-persons. But every {prenu} has such traits, so including them in the structure seems useful (in fact I'm throwing in this place because it's commonplace, see {selpre} on jbovlaste).

Furthermore, if the second slot is not optional (ziho'd by default) then {lo so'i prenu} would imply the people all share the same personality, I'm afraid.

Why?
