as Luke put it, dev is behind v0.1...BUT dev has some things they are not putting in v0.1 stable...when that goes live, though, those things will be merged into v0.1 and that will become the new dev...my understanding anyway

I'm testing the game with the standard settings of the emulator, as I was suggested, I do not know another better way to provide more details, only those who know the emulator can give me the guidelines for the settings to better test the game .

Please only report compatibility status of the latest stable release here. Development builds are not supported because the compatibility list needs to display the state of the current stable build
We have always reported these errors with these development versions.

With the development version already at the beginning there is a worsening of fps that was not in previous versions in development.

I suggest adding this to the README at the front of the GitHub page. Since this board predates the release of the stable builds, this is a bit of a change in policy.
Makes sense as this is a compatibility board- and not a testing one- that it would follow only the stable release. I'd just make the info a bit more visible so you don't have to keep repeating yourself to folks like me!
I've tested the game with the July 23, 2019 version, it starts up, sound is good, but characters themselves are invisible. I hope this game will be 100% playable soon. Is it still being worked on ?
still being worked on, items (doors, weapons, etc) are now perfect, characters are there but the geometry is messed up (same as current indiana jones)...something that can be fixed cause it used to be fine in indy... this is in one of the later dev builds..so progress IS being made

I've tried it with the latest build. Only Buffy's and the vampire's head, can be seen and some weird graphical thing.
Hopefully someday it will be fully playable.
I suppose this could probably be closed since all rendering issues appear to be fixed, only performance left but that's more general across the board for most games

Tested with Cxbx-Reloaded/Cxbx-Reloaded@ffa5feb7 EA-018 Version 1.02 Proper xbe-dump: Xbe.txt It has good visuals now with some flickering and some transparancy issiues. Game is still very laggy and the sound is also bit off. This PAL release contains a final.map with symbol information.

But putting the game in fullscreen comes this error. For the sound still from problems. Anyway putting 1920x1080 and 3x Native the screen problem does not. I also wanted to try to increase the brightness in the game, but it always remains dark, and it is difficult for me to identify objects and enemies.
not just buffy has the Fullscreen hardware issue above... IF exclusive mode is checked (it should not be)
I can say to the point where I am now,the game is "in game" status. I'm at the "The Bronze - Back Alleys" level, there have only been slowdowns in the library where Buffy's boss and friends meet.

Tested the game with the December 25 version, the view has improved compared to before it was too dark. now I'm in the Mausoleum secret Passageways, so far I have only encountered problems with fps and flickering shadows, otherwise all right. When you get a dirty disc error, it often can be remedied by deleting all partition folders (except number 2), and possibly memory.bin and/or EEPROM.bin

I did these tests but the problem remains.

don't even need to go that far, if you look in the folder and find the buffy one, you can just get rid of it's contents.. seems to be a file I/O issue as it sometimes doesn't write the data into the folder(or does a partial delete) when the dirty disk error pops up only a couple of the folders are written instead of the full suit that is usually there
and I have just noticed, that it is now storing other games there was well... so I have the buffy stuff as well at least one other game(looks to be obi-wan) in the same partition... I assumed (apparently incorrectly) that it was suppose to be cleared/formatted if a game found data not belonging to it on it
So I did a test, I believed that the folder where these files were was: Appdata / Roaming / Cxbx-Reloaded, however no, I have eliminated all the file and the disk error still gives it. Has the path where the files are changed now?

Then I solved the problem by completely deleting the emulator and the files you told me and now it works. It seems that the sound doing this procedure is fixed, I will see later in the game. Xbe.txt
I want to ask a question, will the possibility of entering the code of infinite life for Buffy with the keys be possible? I tried the game but it doesn't work.
The screenshots in many old posts from a couple different users give the matching title ID: [EA-018] [v1.02].

need more info, version of game, version of cxbx, etc... I played through that level not long ago and it was fine
I managed to figure it out.had to use a older version of Cxbx Reloaded
