Black intro video with sound.
Menu ok.
Renders 3D in-game and after 4 secs it fails to create vertex buffer.
Interesting quirk: the screens in the latest user's post above shows a different, earlier version number of [v1.01], rather than the main version [v1.02] for this issue. He's better off reporting his files and test results over at this very old issue of #49 for the v1.01 edition. This issue seems to be for the European release, while that earlier v1.01 edition is the North American release. The European release here actually uses a newer xdk version compared to the earlier release version.
Intro cinematics do not work, and the title screen will show up for a split second, before displaying a blueish-purple fill on the screen.

Ingame 3D models still are unable to render behind the blueish-purple colors, and nothing else will render as well.
Viewport scaling has been enabled, and the game has been ran at 640x480 at 60hz. EDIT: "Render directly to host backbuffer" was enabled here. Disabling it shows loading screens and FMVs. However, it still does not render the title screen.
