I think it is due to how the FinalF.xbe executable is doing the 2d 90s equivalent of of some fading effect as it seems to fade from or to the correct colours whenever a new scene is started.

However it seems completely playable. I don't have the patience to go further given the amount of other emulators that will play this game.

It looks like an issue with P8 format textures. Thanks for the report, the fact that it's playable is very promising!

Hi,

I've added a copy of all debug and dump files below. Also the "type-homebrew" should be replaced with "type-retail" as this is a retail xbe included on the retail Final Fight Streetwise disc specifically for Final Fight and not a homebrew emulator.

KrnlDebug-FinalF.txt Xbe-FinalF.txt

On the build edae7898 (Nov 30 2017) and since this does not start at all but instantly pops up the message "Received Fatal Message: * Could not open Xbe file."

PatrickvL commented 6 years ago

That usually means it's rebooting to a not-installed dashboard. Why it reboots is unclear.

dazchipsugar commented 6 years ago

I've checked this with a newer build and got the same reboot error.

However I then delete all the contents of the Roaming\Cxbx-Reloaded folder and it works again now with the same graphical errors.
