Description

  1. Everything up to the main menu works, from the Bethesda logo intro and into the main menu.
  2. Choosing "New Game" starts the cinematic introduction, a video. 2a. "Load Game" menu also works, and pressing buttons except for the back button don't do anything. 2b. "Credits" works fine as well, and pressing Start skips it, going straight back to the main menu. 2c. The AFK main menu cinematic works as well. (when you leave the game alone for a while)
  3. Waiting for the video to finish or skipping it results in the following error.

    ---------------------------
    Cxbx-Reloaded
    ---------------------------
    Received Exception Code 0xC0000005 @ EIP := 0x7C23BFA6

    Press "OK" to terminate emulation.
    Press "Cancel" to debug.
    ---------------------------
    OK   Cancel

Status

Previous behavior: I have none reported, but my previous experience last month was that the game crashes whenever I press something before the main menu.

Current behavior: Everything works up to the main menu and the cinematic introduction when choosing "New Game", but the game crashes after that.

Additional Information

No hacks or anything, the only settings I fiddled with was input, with "MS Controller S" and using DualShock 4 and DS4Windows v1.4.52 as the controller.

Can the admin add an XDK number label? I think it's 5659, according to the Xbe debug text file. This may explain why this edition cannot go far when the original non-game-of-year edition of the game with a much older XDK library could go in-game.

Admins: did you see the title screen? It's actually the game of the year edition. Though, I don't know if it's a different regional release to the other GOTY issue.

424 is a different region/version.
