WLAN disconnects then reconnects and again #4

Open OP3Newbie12 opened 8 years ago

In the OP3 the WLAN is not working after a few minutes then it reconnects automatically and it works again for a few mins. On all othrr devices in this network that doesnt occur (e.g. Nexus 5 running CM13...) Pls fix this. Thx

EDIT: Speed is fine now, but i get disconnects and nearly instant reconnects all the time.

I can not confirm this issue on my device. I'm using a Linksys E4200 and getting up to 70 Mb/s on 5 Ghz and about 60Mb/s on 2,4 Ghz.

OP3Newbie12 commented 8 years ago

Pls ignore Edit2, this only worked a few secs. I read in the OP-Forums that OxygenOS has the same Problem.

OP3Newbie12 commented 8 years ago

Seems like my ISP was the Problem, today everything is fine.

OP3Newbie12 commented 8 years ago

Sry to distuur you guys but its back and starts to reconnect every few sechs, speed is gold if it is connected but Nexus 5 wont disconnect only the OP3.

ggogel commented 8 years ago

Could you post your router, firmware and settings? Then we can compare.

OP3Newbie12 commented 8 years ago

Router is a TP-Link N600, WLAN is set to 2,4GHz, Firmware: V1_150518, IP is set to Dynamic using IPv4, do you need any other settings? Thx for inspecting this, its really annoying to download anything if the Phone disconnects after a few moments.

EDIT: I got 4 Phones (all with the newest CM nightly) and 5 PCs in this network almost all the time and the disconnects only happen to my OnePlus3.

ggogel commented 8 years ago

Is it only happening on 5Ghz or also 2,4Ghz?

OP3Newbie12 commented 8 years ago

I tried it with 5GHz, but despite better range, everything stays the same. Means i got disconnects there too.

ggogel commented 8 years ago

Can you download WiFiAnalyzer? Maybe there is a network around you on the same channel or with the same SSID? Had the issue that there was a network with the same SSID around me, some devices worked, some not...

OP3Newbie12 commented 8 years ago

First i got to say is that i could download it on the OnePlus and it didnt fail^^ I did analyze the network, there is no WiFi with same SSID, a few other WiFis are using same channels, but i live in a big city and get around 40 different ones to select if i search, so i think that could be normal, couldnt it? ATM im trying to download the new nightyl on the device my speed is about 10% of the normal Speed (300KB for normal 3-4MB per Sec) and now by the moment i write this the download has failed. 2 mins later the speed is even lower now between 70 and 100 KB/s.

ggogel commented 8 years ago

Did you try transferring files in your local network?

OP3Newbie12 commented 8 years ago

No i havent, i cant See how this should help indentify/fix the Problem. But THX for trying to help me with this disturbing Problem.

OP3Newbie12 commented 8 years ago

Update: I tried 5 GHz again and it just takes a bit longer to fail, with a repeater is only a few meters away from me is my best option now. With it it fails but it takes about 50% of a CM-Nightly to fail and the speed is a bit better, but it still fails.
