Paginator that the top #16

Open jacob-carlborg opened 11 years ago

jacob-carlborg commented 11 years ago

Could we get a paginator at the top of each page, not just at the bottom?

jacob-carlborg commented 8 years ago

Suggestion: dfeed_top_paginator

CyberShadow commented 8 years ago

OK, I'm not against adding it to the basic view mode's post list.

CyberShadow commented 8 years ago

I tried adding it and it looks really awkward :/

I see that you added the top paginator, but why only on the first page of a thread?

CyberShadow commented 8 years ago

Yeah. Can this be closed now?

jacob-carlborg commented 8 years ago

I don't consider this fixed until it has the paginator on all pages for a thread.

CyberShadow commented 8 years ago

Why do you need a paginator at the top of every page?

jacob-carlborg commented 8 years ago

I usually go to the last post, then I scroll up to see if there are any posts that I don't have read. Then I go back to the previous page as and do the same. If the pagniator is on top I don't have to scroll to the bottom. I don't really see a problem with adding it on every page. I don't think it looks awkward.

@CyberShadow Not sure why you find this awkward :-) but this looks fantastic: http://forum.dlang.org/post/op.xz6shob04sdys0@nicolass-macbook-pro.local

As posted by @jacob-carlborg this is probably the best image

@CyberShadow would you be willing to merge a fix for this? It's a sorely missing feature for many of us who read the posts backwards (latest message first)

snprajwal commented 10 months ago

Another option would be to just allow reversing an entire thread - it shouldn't be too hard to implement, and can be added as a non-default option

CyberShadow commented 10 months ago

Yes, feel free to add as an option.
