Looking at the current fields, I think we can drop some:

I would also drop

or at least replace them with something to our workflow.

This is also a configuration issue, not software.

Maybe we can keep the URL field for dlang.org.

BTW In my first year I almost never tagged an issue with keywords because while there's this list:

It's really hard to know which keywords are available and relevant to you. There are also quite a few keywords which are almost never used.

So if we plan to ask the user for keywords in this input mask, I feel like this should be a "smart" list based on the selected component, e.g.

Though in general I think Walter is one of the few people using the keywords and there's too much value in most of them, but if we do use them, it would be nice to show them in "full" to the user (during the input mask) like e.g.

Well, improving the UI is a separate thing.

Not sure if you noticed, but you can click the "Keywords" link and that goes to a description of every keyword.

I do think we use keywords enough to keep them. Otherwise searching for e.g. code-generation regressions would be a lot harder. It's useful for a lot of metrics.

We should use the default bug entry form as a starting point; guided bug entry would be an improvement on top of that.
