Well these are some relevant KSI statistics and they're categorised by constituency as well: www.parliament.uk/briefing-papers/SN06224.pdf
Only problem being that the data is in a pdf - we'd have to convert this over to csv/json in order to work with it.
The only data i can find on open Glasgow is below, doesn't seem to identify cycles (cant see much on mobile).
http://data.glasgow.gov.uk/dataset/road-safety-scotland-2012 One left field idea, these stories are normally recorded on the BBC local sites, if there's no better data available, maybe could scrape the bbc RSS feeds for matches?
This data set includes the field vehicle-type, doesn't seem to be a key to explain what the codes mean though.. http://data.glasgow.gov.uk/dataset/road-safety-scotland-2012/resource/ba83d926-49d5-47b0-85cb-3e9dcbbc2ad2?inner_span=True
Some data here: http://map.itoworld.com/ raw data: http://discover.ukdataservice.ac.uk/catalogue?sn=6513 From tweet: Eachann Gillies @f0rmat 7h
@fozy81 @MattLowell_ @WKZDesign any way of utilising this data http://map.itoworld.com/ to help mark out hotspots?
I know this won't be found in the OSM data, but I think it'd be useful to eventually incorporate fatality statistics into the app. As actual fatalities are quite rare, it'd be even better to include "Killed or Seriously Injured" (KSI) figures, although there are quibbles amongst statiticians as to how you define a "serious" injury (is a broken wrist as "serious" as a traumatic brain injury?)
I'll have a look to see where we might be able to source this data - I'm assuming OSN would have this, otherwise a coroner's office?
