Hi there, thanks for your suggestion.
I'm personally using ufw
with the default home configuration. I think that's enough for the majority of home PC users. If you're using KDE, it can also be controlled directly integrated into the system settings when having the plasma-firewall
package installed.
I'm considering to add a firewall section in the useful packages section. It could also list other options like firewalld
but I personally don't have any experience using it on Arch. I have used it on Fedora where it is pre-installed though.
opensnitch
is also an option with a little bit different approach.
For now please refer to the dedicated (Arch) wiki pages for those firewalls
Hi there,
after one year of experiments and testings I stick with UFW and I like the approach of opensnitch.
Anyway, again thank you for this awesome work and making me arch my new home! Best arch guide on the whole planet!!!
Hi!
First of all, thank you so much for this beast of a guide!!! It helped me a lot even the arch install guide is a beast as well. I wanted to ask if you have a default firewall setup as well or some recommendation beside the arch wiki :)
Looking forward for you answer. And thank you for your awesome work done here!!
