Grey box instead of Whatsapp window 1.9.0 #120

Open TheConfax opened 2 years ago

TheConfax commented 2 years ago

Sometimes, a full gray box is displayed instead of the Whatsapp window. This happens while clicking the tray icon in order to view Whatsapp. The only way out is to close Whatsapptray and re-open it. Did not found a special method to make it appear, but I don't think it was happening with the "beta" version you gave me in the other thread @D4koon.

Windows 10, related log attached Log_2022-01-20_12#51#41.txt .

Same, going to previous version.

I have been trying to reproduce the bug because it has happened to me a lot of times on V1.7.2, 1.8.0 and 1.9.0.

Finally got it to happen today after closing whatsapp tray and reopening, still dont know why it happens as it happens randomly.

@sebastin25 Yes, is exactly like you described, it could happen in a windowed fashion too.

@D4koon , this happens all the time on my laptop and sometimes on Desktop. Working on any fixes?

adrianiepure commented 2 years ago

Happening here as well. I usually have to start and close whatsapp tray multiple times in order to get rid of it. @TheConfax could you share a link to the beta?

Thanks!

@adrianiepure unfortunately I deleted the installer, but maybe it was just my impression and the gray screen was there anyway

The problem still hasn't solved for me and is happening 100% of the time on laptop, less frequently on desktop

It doesn't work for me either, always the white picture. I uninstalled whatsapp and whatsapp tray. also the folder which remains in the programs x86 folder is deleted. Just wanted to use whatsapp without the tray... now the original whatsapp doesn't even work anymore - there doesn't seem to be an answer here either or nobody seems to be interested... That's frustrating and disappointing. Hope help comes soon please. Sry my english ist not the best :)

since today this bug is affecting me, too. i think it has sth to to with the "start minimized" option, when i disabled itt worked on both my systems that experienced the bug ... but it could also be sth completely different :/

Maybe it is a driverproblem. try driverupdate or test an another driver(version). Try if the windows is white, to change the screensize with the mouse. pls tell here if this helps. I hope the programmer is still working on the program.
