Error launching WhatsApp from path with unicode-characters #36

Error launching WhatsApp from path='C:\Programm Files (x86)\WhatsappTray.... etc...

Here is the ScreenShoot

I install latest version of WhatsappTray - WhatsappTrayV1.4.3.exe and WhatsUp from https://www.whatsapp.com/download/ Windows 10 Pro x64 - build 1809

have you tried deleting the appData.ini?

Ok, I renamed appData.ini. When I run WhatsappTray.exe, I get the same error. And the new appData.ini file is created. Here is the code

CLOSE_TO_TRAY = 0
LAUNCH_ON_WINDOWS_STARTUP = 0
START_MINIMIZED = 0
WHATSAPP_STARTPATH = \WhatsApp\WhatsApp.lnk
WHATSAPP_ROAMING_DIRECTORY = C:\Users\Администратор\AppData\Roaming

If I launch the link from \WhatsApp\WhatsApp.lnk manually - WhatsUp starts correctly

Maybe this is because WHATSAPP_ROAMING_DIRECTORY contains Cyrillic characters?

Yes that is the problem. I made some changes to support unicode charachters. Would be good if you could test it out.
