Meaning of red number on tray icon #55

Hello, I just can't understand the meaning of this red number which always appears on tray icon. (usually 1, sometimes 2). What is it for? I don't seem to have any new messages. whatsapptray

Mine keeps going up, it's currently at 13 and I didn't receive any message.

Just by the time I wrote this message it did goes up to 17

Yep, same here. Red numbers going up, no messages. Any idea what they are?

Please use the beta from https://github.com/D4koon/WhatsappTray/issues/51 which removes the numbers. Originally they were ment for counting the unread messages...

It somehow counting incoming messages from other messengers in the tray.

Since the newest version this is disabled by default and is marked as an experimental "feature"
