I think... that that's ok. I used to use Ferdi and it worked that way, I never thought of it as a bug. When I set it to close to tray it's more because I don't want to always see it in my taskbar, so at least in my experience this way has been better.

I understand that some people might prefer it that way but in my opinion i prefer to have the choise instead of for two buttons doing the same. I mean if you never want to minimize than always use the close button.

But if it really is a highly demanded feature i will think about adding more options to configure what each button does

I also think having the option to minimize to taskbar or to the tray would also be pretty useful (it's actually why I searched for this repo, to see if there was an issue or pull request opened about it). As D4koon said, having 2 buttons that do the same thing isn't too useful.

Another option for it would be to just add a "Minimize to tray" option just like the "Close to tray" one and have them be completely independent. That way you could configure it like it's discussed in this thread or have it keep the current behavior (minimize to tray on either).
