I updated Windows 10 to the October 2020 build, and updated WhatsappTray to version 1.6.1. After updating I got some weird error messages, so I reinstalled both Whatsapp itself and WhatsappTray.
Everything now seemingly works correctly - except for the small detail that I can't restore Whatsapp from the tray icon after minimizing it. It does not react at all, not even if I right-click and select Restore Window.
The only way I've found to work around the problem is to close the WhatsApp process and then re-launch the regular WhatsApp Desktop without WhatsApp tray.
Really hope this can be fixed as I absolutely love the product.
Yeah I did see #74 but I thought it was a different problem. After reading it more closely, it looks like you're probably right that it's the same.
I'll monitor that issue for solutions then. Thanks!
