+1 here as well. It just stops working without an error and the icon disappears from the tray.
I think i found the problem.
Can you please test this and report if it still happens: Release1.3.1.zip
I will release it propably next week if no errors occure
It seems to be working so far, thanks
So far so good...
Correction - it does crash but a lot less. So far it seems to crash once a day or so.
better, much better
5 days. all good, app dont crashes
Yeah, I can confirm, might have been a glitch on my machine. Works fine since then.
Could you please realease this version? It seems to fix the issue discussed here.
Finaly i found the time to release this: WhatsappTray V1.3.1 And thanks for the feedback ;)
Hello @D4koon, I just downloaded your app and got it working for quite some time (like 2 hours) and then issue #9 reappeared... quick info: I have Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 with Windows updates blocked. Intel Pentium G4600@3.6GHz w/ 16GB Qumox DDR4 RAM and a NVidia GeForce GTX 960 (actually an Asus GTX 960).
Thank you for your work in advance.. but there are still some problems and some more work to do :P
You are always welcome to fix it yourself ;) hehe Is there any error message? Without this is impossible to fix... and there is no logging implemented in the release versions... If there is no error message you could try to use the new release that is coming in the next two weeks or so. This version will have basic logging maybe then it's more clear where the problem comes from.
Hello and thanks for the quick reply and interest, I would love to know the programming language and the used libraries to try to figure out what type of hidden memory file inside my brain I would have to remember to actually write down some code.. By the way I just restarted my PC after a power loss and this is the error message I got right 30 seconds after I launched the app: https://postimg.cc/3414gN2Y The program launched and connected correctly but then after I minimized and restored it just once, it said "whatsapp.exe stopped working" and it crashed and then that error appeared.. Thanks!
Hello again @D4koon, now it seems that the previous message was because since I had the WhatsappTray icon in my start menu, I decided to delete the original Whatsapp link and that wasn't something the Tray liked so much, but now that I reinstalled both original and Tray whatsapp(s) the program randomly stops working and crashes.
Very useful little app :)
I do have an issue with the latest version - not sure when and how but it seems to crash quite frequently. I'm using Windows 10 Pro build 1703 (latest). It's probably worth noting that the initial version I used worked flawlessly.
Thanks
