FP found the published model 3.1 still shows the VMS Message Diagram as it was created originally in the EA model but FP had updated it to enhance readibility and compactness to print on the norm, and thinks it should be useful to have it reshaped in the model and in the documentation also.

IC recalls updating VMS diagrams to match FP's suggestions, so needs to check what happened with this one. Sometimes IC may not have used the exact layout suggested by FP, but should still have met the purpose of the layout improvement.

Fabrizio's diagram is narrower, which means it is more legible in Word, so we should adopt its improvements.

Made equivalent improvements to achieve same width as the one in the standard. The layout is not identical, but that has no significance. In revision 1146.
