Cannot install trook via trook #16

Trook provides feeds for apps download & install, that is great!

Trook can download & install apps such as nookBrowser, nookLauncher,
nookWifiLocker, etc, no problem at all.

But trook CANNOT download & install trook itself. (I only tested v45)

I'm having issues upgrading to v45 as well. I installed the 1.2 softroot from
nookdevs. I've tried installing the package from Trook just like ttnews, and
that
didn't work. So I tried installing from the command line using the "adb
install
Trook-debug.apk" command. It won't install if the application is already
installed.
I tried using -r (reinstall) and got a
[INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_INCONSISTENT_CERTIFICATES] error. I tried uninstalling,
and I
get a non-informative "Failure" message. Any ideas on how to update my current
Trook
v38 to v45.

kypizzle, I know it sounds similar, but what you describe is not a Trook issue.
 If
you used the original 1.2 softroot, that is the problem. There is a newer
version
of the softroot available from the nookdevs page that should fix the issues
with
upgrading apps. You can manually fix your current install, but it is just
easier to
install the newer softroot. Your settings etc. should be preserved.

I believe ttnews was having problems due to the colon in the Trook build name
in the
feed, and that has been fixed.

@kypizzle -- it sounds like you might have one of the softrooted versions that
doesn't fully handle 3rd-party installations properly. As jmcode points out,
probably
the simplest bet is to install the newest softroot and test again.
