nookLibrary should ignore dotfiles #29

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. copy a book to nook:my documents with the Mac Finder
2. open nookLibrary
3. sort by title and look at the top of the list

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

nookLibrary 0.0.4, softroot 1.2

Please provide any additional information below.

The Mac Finder often copies metadata into dotfiles, named like "._foo.epub"
for an example file named "foo.epub", when you drag a file to a non-Apple
filesystem. These show up in nookLibrary as books separate from the
original. Perhaps nookLibrary should ignore dotfiles by default or at
least have a setting to do so.

I'll add code to skip dotfiles. I don't think we will get more scenarios like
this.
So, no need for a settings logic. I'll rebuild the changes & upload the new
package
on Saturday.

I don't know if this change is affecting the .skip for skipping folders, but
when I
put a .skip file in the nooklets folders and subfolders, they still show up on
nookLibrary.
