We receive a lot of e-mails asking why a news post was archived with a list of potential reasons for it being archived without a clear reason - this causes confusion for the authors to make assumptions about what needs to be changed in the article for it to be approved.
When an article is archived, we supply the reason(s) specifically for that item which is posted in the automatic e-mail so when the author reads the e-mail stating the article has been archived they already know what they need to fix. This eliminates the need for them to e-mail us back to find out why it was archived.
