Clear proposal, good use of summary plots.
In terms of analysis, it might be interesting to use some time series methods to compare vaccination and cases in each state. One straightforward technique would be to use the ccf() function in R, which calculates the cross correlation of two time series. There is some options for plotting it here: https://pkg.robjhyndman.com/forecast/reference/autoplot.acf.html
The first drawings on this website illustrate an autocorrelation function: https://github.com/allisonhorst/stats-illustrations. A cross correlation function is similar but it compares two time series (e.g. vaccination and cases).
Challenge: A challenge of your project is that Covid-19 is very complex. This means that you will need to be careful in your interpretation of the results. You will likely be able to pick up patterns, but these can only be used to generate further avenues for investigation. You will also want to do some more reading about the epidemiology of the disease and add this as context for the presentation/report.
