1) The main entry for the cells highlighted in blue should be HOUSE, not HOUR !

2) There is a typo in the cell highlighted in blue. That should be “ABORTION” (with only 1 “B”)

Also, there is an extra space before the + here, which should be deleted

there is also an extra space in the middle of these cells:

In general, there are some extraneous spaces at the end of glosses; this caused problems for Yang. He had to redo things in order to ignore final spaces. It would be preferable if those could be eliminated from the spreadsheets.

Also, the blue cells should all be changed to HOMEWORK

One more correction needed:

In all of these cells, THUMBS-DOWN needs to be changed to TURN-DOWN.

I have made all the corrections to the WLASL excel file. However, first I need to discuss with you how we will handle index signs in general. It's COMPLICATED. Thanks! Then it will be ready to re-upload...

See #474 for issue involving index signs. We need to discuss... Thanks!

When we re-upload the WLASL dataset, we should increase the version number, and include citation information, perhaps as follows: Carol Neidle, Carey Ballard, and Dimitris Metaxas, Revised Gloss Labels for Signs from the WLASL Dataset - version 2. Boston University, American Sign Language Linguistic Research Project, 2024.
