Errors that should not be happening #616

Open cneidle opened 1 year ago

cneidle commented 1 year ago

Carey is editing a file; this has only been edited in the current release version of SignStream (3.4.0). I opened his file, also using 3.4.0, and got these errors.

I will email you the SignStream file. I will share Carey's Dropbox folder for access to the video files.

Thanks.

There seems to be a pattern with the glosses that are triggering this error: The non-dominant hand has a final hold that extends through other signs on the dominant hand.

This should be fixed prior to next release. Otherwise users will at some point start getting error messages every time they open a file, errors that cannot be eradicated... It seems to be associated with the final hold described above, so hopefully it can be identified and fixed. Thanks.

This also should be fixed prior to next release.

I have not been able to reproduce this in 3.4.1 pre-release

I wanted to resolve the 3 errors from this file. I tried going to each of the signs for which the error was reported. I tried deleting the hold on the non-dominant hand, resetting the locked/unlocked status for that sign multiple times. The error remained.

The only way to clear the error was to delete each of these signs and re-enter new glosses. Just FYI.
