Problems Quitting the latest version of SignStream #711

I am having to Force Quit sometimes.

Here's another SignStreamOut file from another crash like the one above (there have been quite a few):

This problem appears to occur when making a change to a collection, selecting quit (without saving before), and when the window opens asking "Save changes before proceeding?" ...choose "Don't Save". The behavior appears.

This occurs in version 3.4.1 as well as the latest.

Note on past comment. When making a change, and before saving, click "New Collection", then save question window appears. Clicking "Don't Save" at this time does not freeze SS.

The window asking to save or not did not appear for me, consistently.

Sorry...I may have made a mistake...retesting now.

CORRECTION: I do get that dialog box, and I select "don't save", and that is when it crashes.

So...it does "not" happen in 3.4.1. I was wrong. The behavior of when it occurs above is still the "Don't Save", but only when closing.

And yes, I have never had this happen in 3.4.1

Have a likely fix for this.

The program quits without a problem now. But the user does not always get a dialog box about saving changes...

@cneidle the data is not saved yet, until you enter out of that Morph-Phon window. So nothing has been changed yet, so the quit there will not do a prompt.

Ok. Implicitly, though, quitting SignStream entails closing that window, no? So shouldn’t there be a message asking whether or not to save the changes to the Morph-Phon window (and if yes, asking whether or not to save the changes to the file)?

Not a huge deal, though.
