I posted the question about temposmoothness in the Antescofo forum. Arshia Cont replied:
"There is an existential problem with temposmoothness command actually! It is simply not effectif as you’d imagine and that’s why I haven’t done much publicity about it!!"
Since I'm breaking the midiactions group into several parts the initial delay doesn't make sense, unless the point of reference for the delay is the previous note for each single midiactions group.
Although triggering MIDI notes with an initial negative delay reduces the overall MIDI latency (i.e., notes being played back after the followed instrument), it has the drawback of dropping notes.
Temposmoothness is especially relevant for 1st movement, where SallyNee felt that she had to pay more attention to the tempo now (with NAPro), than the previous rehearsal (with ASC midiactions). She is not being tracked, though, it is Ryan's cello.
Values for NAPro head are:
1st movement: ~380ms 2nd movement: ~330ms
Order of the day for the performers for next rehearsal: pay attention to the harpsichord (we should play it louder, then)
