I would like to see the option to run a workflow on all pages assigned to that workflow or only selected pages assigned to that workflow.
Why this is useful:
Here's an example I'm dealing with now. I'm running a workflow where the final job (segment by colour) has settings that I manipulate. I'm running the workflow only on certain images in this project, but various images therein need different settings. Therefore, I either have to run the entire workflow on all the images multiple times with different settings, which takes excess time and takes up excess space, or I have to run a "test page" for every single page and every single setting. It would save me hours of work if I could do this easily, since I will need to do it multiple times in order to get useable results for various pages. (We do not have a job with automated setting detection for this job.)
Work-arounds we currently have:
Option 1) We can run the entire workflow on all the pages assigned to it;
Option 2) We can either press "test workflow" for each selected image we want; or
Option 3) We can build a second workflow with different settings and different images attached.
Why these work-arounds are not ideal:
Option 1) This creates excess results we don't need, thereby taking more time to process (especially if the jobs are large) and taking up space on the server.
Option 2) This clutters the workflow results page, which is not very user-friendly for finding results. It is also unnecessarily time consuming.
Option 3) This is exceedingly time consuming and clutters the workflow designer with tons of workflows.
Proposed solution:
When you go to the results page, it would be great if instead of just "Run workflow," there were two buttons: One that said "Run workflow on all pages" or "run workflow on selected pages," which would open a window prompting you to highlight the pages assigned to that workflow that you would like to use for the workflow run. This way, one could edit a job setting, run the workflow, peruse the results, decide which images need to be re-run with different settings, go back to the workflow designer and tweak the settings, and run it again on just the images that need to be run again.
