2 years ago @fujinaga were you imagining paying for this or running it on our own servers? For LinkedMusic I know we're only adding if funded but it's maybe relevant for our other sites too.

2 years ago Yes, there is a paid version of Google Analytics but it's super enterprise/way bigger scale; for our purposes the free version would be enough.
I thought we were avoiding Google on purpose.
Matomo is free if we host it ourselves and them doing the cloud hosting is 19 euros/month

Consider using an open-source analytics, e.g., Matomo. https://w3techs.com/technologies/overview/traffic_analysis Do this only if we get the funding.
