DDvO / Duplicate-Contacts-Manager

This Thunderbird add-on searches address book(s) for pairs of matching contact entries. It can automatically delete entries that have equivalent or less information than the other one. Any remaining matches are presented for manual treatment.

TB 91.0 (64-bit) reports this add-on as incompatible #11

The add-on manager for Thunderbird v91.0 complains that this add-on is incompatible with TB 91. The URI for the add-on (found at "https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/duplicate-contacts-manager/" after much jumping around) reports that the add-on "Works with Thunderbird 68.0 - 73.0"

NB: The "homepage" attribute for this add-on points to "https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/2505". This in turn redirects to "https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/duplicate-contact-manager/"; this is the very old v0.0.x iteration of the add-on and should be corrected in the newer versions to point to the updated URI.

Are you going to update this add-on for TB 91.0++ compatibility?

Yes - see #10.

Thanks for pointing this out. In the next version I'll replace the outdated URL by the current one: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/duplicate-contacts-manager/.

+1 on getting updated.

Is there anything we can do to help you with this project.

I fear the only thing that would really help is if someone with experience with the changed Thunderbird API takes over the adaptation.

Lot of add-on developers are unhappy that Thunderbird has changed their API. Sadly, some have abandoned their very useful projects. It's too bad TB's developers have not stepped in to help you.
